With this advertisement I wanted to show some home town pride.

I figured I’d give a shout-out to Huntington Beach’s deep roots in surf culture — it is known as “Surf City”.

I took the photo of the shop the day after there was a big rain. I thought the cloud formations added a nice element to the imagery.

With the sound design I sampled “Wipeout” by The Surfaris, “Rockafeller Skank” by Fatboy Slim, and added folly to emphasize the motion graphics.
