Cool King® “Matcha Green Tea” Gelato

Cool King® contacted me and asked for marketing materials to promoted their new flavor “Matcha Green Tea” Gelato.

The first asset I designed was the flavor card.

Next I created a short animated commercial intended for use as a Instagram/Facebook Story (read under 15 seconds).

For the sound design, I found the song “Bazazz Tengoku” by “The Cupieds” (yes that IS the correct spelling of the band). I was struck by the songs intro, and I felt it fit this promotion. I added various sound effects, and the mood fell together like a French “Yé-yé” producer hopping on a one way magic shag carpet ride to serendipitously land smack dab in the middle of Japan in 1962.

I wrote the following as the post for social media:

It’s been the cornerstone of traditional Japanese tea ceremonies for centuries. World renowned for its health benefits, and now available as a delicious soft-serve flavor at Cool King® Frozen Yogurt & Desserts.
